Harc's Artisan Studio introduces artisans with intellectual disabilities to multiple mediums to explore their artistic passions while earning income. We currently offer instruction in jewelry making , candle making , tie -dying and creating paper crafts such as gift tags and customized greeting cards.
The studio was born out of Harc's Artsparks program established in 1995. Artsparks began as a recreation program for people with intellectual disabilities to create original watercolor and oil stick paintings under the supervision of a practicing artist. Over the years, Harc's artist's have exhibited their work in galleries and venues throughout the state, often earning income from the sale of their work.
